A little about me
My name is Tanner Call, and I’m an undergraduate Senior, currently finishing my last semester of college at the Harvard of The West (formally known as California State University, Chico). I was born in North Carolina, but was raised in Sacramento County, residing in Elk Grove from age five up until my decision to attend college. I’m a pretty easy going guy, grew up playing a number of sports, but focused on soccer for the majority of my life. I enjoy traveling but haven’t ventured out of the states nearly as much as I’d like. I am motivated by my family and friends, a good meal, and whatever tune I’m listening to. I love sports, food, movies, exploring, interacting with people, and I hope to one day have a career in a profession that includes most of these aspects.
What’s the purpose of this blog?
This blog focuses on exploring, specifically in the Butte County area. There are few things more refreshing than getting out of the house, escaping the civilization around us, and taking in the experience that is, nature. Butte County and the surrounding counties here in northern California offer some of the most amazing sights through waterfalls, hot springs, canyons, and a whole lot more. My goal through this blog is to visit one spot each week, both familiar and new sites. I’ll essentially be reviewing these places. I want to share my favorite aspects of the locations, the trek to get to them, the accessibility of the spot, and the level of awe I experience at each one. Included in my posts will also be pictures of the journey and destination, and general directions for getting to these spots, so my enormous fanbase can have the opportunity to share my experience.
